About the Role

8Flow is looking for a backend engineer team lead to join the founding team and help build the initial product. Our ideal hire will have a strong desire to work at a startup and shape the vision of the company together with us. You will work closely with the Head of Engineering on creating a high-performant and reliable backend.

What You Will Do

• Help define the technical architecture and develop the product end-to-end
• Provide expertise in backend architecture and best practices
• Work with the team to help design the product iteratively to achieve high velocity
• Explore new product development areas driven by a strategic understanding of the user's landscape.
• Take ownership and drive initiatives for segments within the product

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience building scalable and performant backend systems
• Strong experience with Backend technologies, NodeJs, Python, Docker, Terraform, Serverless deployment
• 5+ years in a cloud-based ecosystem such as Google Cloud (Preferred), AWS, or Azure
• Experience solving complex technical challenges
• Experience with developing data-intensive applications and building data pipelines
• Experience designing data models and data warehouses and using SQL and NoSQL database management systems
• Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Experience developing browser extensions is a plus
• Experience developing in an Agile environment is a plus
