The Role

8Flow is looking for a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and managing scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform. You will ensure system reliability, implement robust CI/CD pipelines, manage databases, and contribute to backend development when required. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance, ensuring security and best practices across all infrastructure.

What you will do

• Design, build, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
• Monitor system performance, implement alerting mechanisms, and proactively address issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Manage cloud resources and ensure optimal performance of production environments.
• Maintain compliance standards including SOC 2 and HIPAA requirements through rigorous security measures and documentation.
• Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, backups, and recovery strategies are in place.
• Participate in on-call rotations to promptly address critical system issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and enhance backend development as needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps role or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, and ECS (all required).
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
